The historical center

The historic center of Rieti is really beautiful and characteristic. One of the main streets of the historic center is Via Roma, full of activities and shops.

The Piazza San Rufo is very famous. Here you will find a small monument, built right on the most central point of Italy.

The Roman bridge


Do not miss the Roman bridge. The river that flows through the city is the Velino. Here, along the river, there are many beautiful clubs which, in summer or on weekends, are frequented by the inhabitants of the city or the surrounding villages.

During the Christmas holidays the historic center is decorated and is even more suggestive!

Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta

Inside the historic center you can find this beautiful cathedral. From the outside you can admire the grandeur of this structure and the wonderful bell tower.

Its peculiarity? It has 10 side chapels.

How to reach Rieti from Rome:

We suggest you to arrive by car.

However if you wish to reach Rieti by train (trenitalia) you need to arrive to Terni and then change for a train to Rieti.
